“Im Osten des Westens – Reisebetrachtungen eines Malers”

Stefan Budian has written down his experiences, reflections and insights during many journeys within and outside Europe. The result is a German-Polish reader about Europe with 14 Usien drawings.

“For seven years now, I have been on this journey into our Europe, which is constantly being gripped by new divisions. I have the feeling of living in a fragmenting reality full of contradictions. Contradictions that cannot be resolved. Can they still heal? I want to believe that there can be an overall picture above the many irreconcilable set pieces that can stand up to them. That is the goal. It is into this utopia that I am travelling on my connecting journey to a united Europe.”
